 A man who was born  be hunted like a wild animal
  he was poor
 But he refused to accept his

 He was  nineteen
 And he was sentenced  die

 Then they changed it to 
 And  he could escape
  then on they chased him
 And  for him day and night
 all over Spain
 But the search was in vain  El Lute
 
 He had only  the dark side of life
 The  they called El Lute
 And he wanted a home just like you and  me
 In  country where all would be free
 So he  himself to read and to write
 It didn't help El 
 He was one who had  to escape overnight
 They  to find El Lute
 
  the fame of his name
  like wild fire all over the land
 With a price  his head
  still gave him bread
 And they gave him a 
 For they knew  was right
 And his fight  their fight
 
 No one gave him a 
 In  Spain of those days
 On the walls every  they had put up
 The face of  Lute
 And he robbed where  could just like once Robin Hood
 They  caught him and
 That  the end
 But they caught him  vain
 Cause  change came for Spain
 And El Lute
 
 He had only seen the dark side  life
 The man they called  Lute
 And he wanted a home  like you and like me
  a country where all would be free
 And  freedom really came to his land
 And also to El 
 Now he walks in the light of a sunny  day
 The man  called El Lute
