 Now can they recall being young and 
 Before wading knee-deep in hogwash and 
 The pitying 
 The argument runs  clockwork
 Will run down eventually and splutter to  stop
 
 P.S. Well by now you  the worst of it
 And  heard all the alibis that they've rehearsed
 The  predictions
 If it's not  contradiction
 Keep faith in  nature
 And have mercy  the creatures in this sad burlesque
