 There I stood  another line
 Trying to buy that last  or two

 They  pennies for what seemed like years
 And the cashier said, “Son,  not enough here.”
 He searched his pockets 
 And he  and he looked at me
 He said, “Momma made Christmas good at  house
 though most years  just did without.

 So I laid  money down
 I just had  help him out

 I  I’d caught a glimpse of heaven’s love as he thanked me and ran out.
 I knew that God had  that little boy to remind me
  Christmas is all about
 
 “Sir, I wanna buy these shoes  my momma, please
 It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just  size
  you hurry, sir?
 Daddy says  not much time
