 Oh a  happens deep inside the sun,
 Where hydrogen  are fused into helium.
 Then the heat and light is  into space.
  90 milion miles it shines upon the Earth”s face.
 For every hundred calories that shine  from the sun.
 The calories  green plants trap will number only one.
 But evry single calorie in ocean, hills, and 
 Will serve as a foundation for  living food chain.
 At the bottom of a food  are producers like green plants.
 Whose cells make  from sunlight making use of chloroplasts.
 It happens in the pines and flowers  your windowsill.
 Cause every single green plant”s got a  chlorophyll.
 Well the next step in a food chain is a  consumer,
  herbivoric cow or vegetarian baby boomer.
 A primary consumer spends it”s mealtimes  plant.
 It might be buffalo or might be an 
 Each level in a food chain yields only  percent,
 Of the former level’s energy you might  where it went.
 There are bones and leaves you can’t digest that really  a dent.
 And don’t ignore the weighty cost of metabolic 
 So if  plant are yieding bout a hundred calories.
 Your yield will only be ten in the birdies and  bees.
 And seven hundred calories  algae in the sea,
 In primary consumers it  yield you seventy.
 Some other ways of getting food are really out of 
 You could be a predator or be a 
 A predator eats  a parasite eats your insites,
 And if you’re a decompoer you will eat me when I 
 And if you know this ‘bout food chains you can really take the 
 When energy gose through it dosen’t last, it 
 But hutrients infood chains meet a  different fate,
 They recycle and they circulate forever,  that great!
 Just remember ther’s no beings in this world that live 
 Populations form communities, where all do make their 
 Though your niche may be  the role that you are playing,
 Every creature live or dead is  s food chain!
